Code of Conduct

ECBA needs to adapt to a changing environment; it will do so by creating a vision of how it sees Biology in Europe, its mission and role(s) and its forward action plans.

Declaration subscribing biologists agree to abide by the European Professional Biologist Code of Conduct and ethics that, in order to serve European society and to promote its values, they shall:

CODE

1.   conduct honourably so as to uphold the dignity and reputation of the biological profession;

2.   keep their knowledge up to date, so that they are competent to practise as a professional biologist

3.   apply the highest scientific principles to their professional activities, and take into account the long term effect of those activities on the environment;

4.   value and respect all living organisms and systems
