Since 2008 the ECBA awards a special price for a project which has supported the development of a sustainable society by progressing all aspects of biology, old and newly discovered.

The contest is open to all biologists and biology teachers.

The winner of the ECBA special award 2008 is the project "School Smoke Prevention".
